6SENSE / A.T.L.A.N

We are thrilled to present A.T.L.A.N, our first collaboration with KAMVA Collective, a cultural production house from South Africa.

The event will feature a selection of documentary and short films by KAMVA Collective followed by a Zoom Q&A session with the founders Amilcar Patel and Chris Kets - and musician Mxshi Mo

These unique programs celebrate the rich and diverse cultures of South Africa, bringing their stories to a global audience.

6SENSE tells the story of a groundbreaking Gqom music producer whose extraordinary journey from rural South Africa to international acclaim is both inspiring and transformative. The self-narrated hybrid documentary explores Mxshi Mo's early life in the rural foothills of the Drakensberg mountains, South Africa. The film poignantly delves into his realisation around his loss of sight and his discovery of electronic dance music as a way to connect with the outside world - shining a light on a potential path out of his personal darkness.

Directed by duo Amílcar Patel and Chris Kets from Boiler Rooms Third Space fame, 6SENSE is produced by KAMVA Collective and is shot on location in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and London, United Kingdom.
