DOC2DOC is for Bristol based filmmakers that are over eighteen in the early stages of developing their skills and with a passion for developing documentaries for TV, online and the cinema. It is for those who believe in the power of capturing and creating change and the need for diverse perspectives to tell the story/ies of our times in relevant and vibrant ways.

DOC2DOC is an exciting opportunity that is built around grassroots expertise, international film workers and professional creatives and is designed to help you develop your film ambitions and elevate your voice. Whether it is making films about amazing characters, pressing social justice issues, community culture or global political movements DOC2DOC is here to support film-makers to get their films made public and make a difference.

It is free to attend and open to local creatives (18 year old and over) particularly those who are *underrepresented in the screen industries. (* for example, you are from a community that experiences racism, you did not go to University, you had free school meals as a child, if you identify as LGBTQAI+, you are a disabled person (as defined by the Equality Act 2010.) If you are not sure where you fit into this, contact the team at cablescameras@yahoo.com

This project is delivered by Cables & Cameras https://www.cablesandcameras.com/about-1 with support from the BFI Doc Society Ripple Effect Fund, a new National Lottery funded initiative that enables and empowers communities, networks and organisations to build their own inclusive vision for the independent UK documentary sector from the ground up.
